Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) 
Edexcel was formed in 1996 by the merger of two bodies, the BTEC (Business & Technology Education Council) and ULEAC (University of London Examinations and Assessment Council), thus inheriting the 160-year-old history of these two leading educational bodies of the United Kingdom. What is the Higher National Diploma (HND);
Τhe BTEC Higher National Diplomas (HND) aim at providing students with the possibility to acquire internationally recognised academic degrees, in order to have a competitive advantage in the employment market or to progress to a Bachelor's Degree.
The HND graduates are offered a choice from a wide range of professional careers in their specialty. The programmes equip them with the essential knowledge and skills for a successful development in their selected vocation. The HND graduates have many advantages, such as continuing their studies (Bachelor's degree) in their chosen field or pursuing further professional specialisation.
Duration of Studies: 2 years, full time
Teaching Language: Greek
The HND programmes are practical vocational courses and, as a result, the majority of modules are assessed and evaluated through projects and presentations, instead of exams.
